| NMC NOC Specialist (Markham) - (Job Number: SEC00513-11) 451816 NMC NOC Specialist (Markham) SEC00513-11 Position Overview: The NMC is the focal point for network faults, monitoring alarms, trouble shooting issues, reporting on failures, managing vendors response time to faults, calling out technicians, restoring network elements, and maintenance. The NMC Surveillance Specialist is responsible for the monitoring of the TELUS Mobility network, coast to coast on a 24/7/365 basis. The NMC Surveillance Specialist is responsible for the core telecom network (switches, cell sites, trunks etc) and all the peripherals and data elements (SMS, voice mail, STPs, 1X etc) and their associated services. Quick reaction to network issues, attention to all details and the ability to take trouble shooting to a higher level are qualities that this position demands. Responsibilities Monitor and action alarms as they are presented into the alarm viewer or as advised via internal clients, following the documented guidelines Notification of outages/restorals to internal clients and various partners as defined by various service level agreements Trouble shooting of fault events as they are presented and .... |
