The details will entail the following: ? Verifying jurisdiction and legal authority to close out accounts; ? Communicating with estate trustees, guardians, clients, families and institutions to effect the transfer of trust assets and to obtain releases; ? Preparing final accounting adjustments; ? Preparing financial statements for the trust; ? Coordinating with tax specialists for filings, remittances and clearances; ? Calculating distributions to heirs and the amount of interest owed to each beneficiary for income tax purposes; ? Sending instructions to other units to disincorporate assets/liabilities that are distributed with follow-up where necessary; ? Liaising with internal and external lawyers to resolve outstanding legal issues. ?
