| Metrology Lab Technician Location: Welland Industry: Industrial Type: Full Time/Permanent Pay Rate: 22.00 Post Date: 01/20/2012 Job Description: Reporting to the QA/Lab Manager, the Metrology Lab Technician is responsible for calibration of gauges and instruments to ensure adherence to applicable standard requirements in support of a 24/7 production schedule. ? Timely calibration of instruments and gauges in accordance with specified and documented procedures to ensure compliance to metrology standards and customer specifications, adhering strictly to all pertinent safety requirements. ? Maintain traceability records and proper documentation for internal audits and external certification. ? Keep up to date gauge and instrument inventory records and conduct inventory transactions ? Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus ? Assisting with development of specifications for gauge and instrument calibration ? Maintain quality systems related to measurement ? Produce recurring quality performance reports related to metrology ? Assisting with investigating quality issues and applying appropriate problem-solving methodology to develop solutions to prevent recurrence ? Prep.... |
