Medical Laboratory Sciences Educational Assistant
Duties: Red River College requires an educational assistant for the Medical Laboratory Sciences program.
Duties will include the ordering of supplies, the preparation of practical labs, demonstration of techniques,
evaluation and supervision of students.
Qualifications: Applicants must possess a general Registered Technologist diploma in Medical Laboratory
Sciences. Applicants with a Bachelor Degree in Education and/or Science or have a suitable combination
of advanced education and experience will be preferred.
Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba is required. Current
registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences is preferred.
Recent/relevant experience as a medical laboratory technologist in Hematology and Transfusion Science
or Clinical Chemistry is required.
Teaching experience, interpersonal communication competence, ability to relate to a diverse student
population and computer skills are definite assets for this position.
