| Position Title: Medical Laboratory Assistant Competition Number: CHRL-10-806 Status: Part_Time Regular FTE: .50 Department: Laboratory Position Type: Both --> Position Description/ Required Qualifications: ? Reporting to the CRH Site Manager and under the Supervision of the Data Centre CLXT II, this position provides technical and clerical functions primarily in Data Centre. Basic duties include; specimen collection, processing, sorting and delivery to test areas as well as data entry. ? Preference given to Graduates of an accredited MLA day program. Successful completion of a Phlebotomy, medical terminology, and specimen accession courses are required if candidate is not from an accredited MLA day program. ? Experience in a laboratory hospital setting is an asset and Data Centre preferred. ? Excellent phlebotomy skills required. ? Ability to organize and prioritize workload as well as work under pressure. ? Strong computer and keyboarding skills is an asset. ? Candidate must possess the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting. ? Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with patien.... |
