| Job Posting Medical Laboratory Assistant - Laboratory Part-Time Southampton Reporting to the Quality Manager, Laboratory, the Medical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) works within his/her scope of professional practice in a team environment to collect samples, conduct medical laboratory tests and set up, clean and maintain medical laboratory equipment. The CLA must practice in accordance with the Medical Laboratory Technology Act, CMLTO, Ontario Laboratory Accreditation and Hospital regulations and standards. Qualifications / Skills / Abilities: Required: ? OSMT Certified Lab Assistant Diploma ? Understand and use computers (i.e. Data manager, computer downlinks to other medical facilities ? Ability to interact effectively with others within and outside of the organization (i.e. staff physicians, patients, technologists, suppliers, Ministry of Health) ? Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation ? Experience with large and small analyzers, dedicated machines and computers ? Availability to work off-shifts and weekends as scheduled ? Ability to function effectively in a team environment ? Ability to handle exposures to infection, noise, odours, working interruptions and high p.... |
