| Mechanical Designer Employment: Permanent Posted On: Wednesday, January 25, 2012 # of Openings: 1 Classification: Design/Drafting Location: Calgary, AB Apply To: Description: DESIGN GROUP STAFFING , in tandem with our established client, a Manufacturing Company for the Oil & Gas industry is actively seeking a Mechanical Designer Primary Role Design and draft mechanical and structural components under the supervision of a project leader Responsibilities Designing and drafting mechanical and structural components for the manufacturing of oilfield equipment Preparing, checking, and maintaining engineering documentation Surveying oilfield equipment on site in various worldwide locations Supporting and collaborating with other departments within the organization Interacting with the customer and suppliers Basic Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree or technologist diploma Knowledge of CAD software (preferably SolidWorks and Autocad) Able to travel internationally Valuable Assets APEGGA member or eligibility Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis Knowledge of oilfield drilling Experience with manufacturing Knowledge of national and international engineering standards (CSA, ANSI, .... |
