Maintenance Assistant
(Term, Full-Time – 3 months)
Duties:
Reporting to the Facilities Services Supervisor your duties will encompass a wide variety of general
maintenance activities.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Assist trades people on campus renovation projects (construction labour)
Performing basic carpentry, basic plumbing repairs, drywall installation/repair and painting
Moving and assembling furniture throughout campus
Shovelling snow, operating snow removal equipment and sanding as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma together with a minimum of three
years experience, preferably gained in a post-secondary environment. An equivalent combination of
education and experience will be considered. A demonstrated skill in a variety of trades, and
knowledge and experience in the safe operation of a forklift is preferable. You have excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a service oriented team environment. You must
possess a valid BC Driver’s Licence .... |
