| MFRE Program Coordinator Job ID: 12086 Date Closed: 2012/01/19 Location: Vancouver - Point Grey Campus Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Job Summary The position is responsible for coordinating activities which identify, establish and enhance business opportunities for the Master of Food and Resource Economics (MFRE) program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems.. Organizational Status Reports to the Faculty Advisor, MFRE program. Work Performed -Acts as a liaison with partner institutions in the private and public sectors to negotiate internship opportunities that meet their needs as well as the academic needs of the MFRE program. - Builds on initial placements to form ongoing "internship partnerships" between outside organizations and the MFRE program. Builds further on these internship partnerships to develop "supporting partnerships" whereby industry and government partners provide the MFRE program with general curriculum advice and promotional support, including scholarships. - Manages the MFRE internship program including searching and following up on leads to internship opportunities with companies, government.... |
