| Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Job Type: Full-time, Days Location: Stone Lodge, Guelph, ON Apply By: January 27, 2012 Responsibilities Maintains accurate nursing records, effectively handles medical emergencies for residents and possess solid assessment skills. Provides nursing care in accordance with the Resident Care Plans. Maintains effective communication and good interpersonal relations with coworkers, residents, families and other departments. Maintains the safekeeping of all drugs and prescribed treatments on the unit. Administers drugs and treatments according to procedure. Maintains information related to directives/memos/policies within the residence. Specific duties will be listed on Job Routines and/or assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications A Licensed Practical Nurse possessing a current provincial Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses and a Medication Administration Certificate, including the administration of IM injections. Experience in a hospital, other health care, retirement or long term care setting is preferred.
