| Position: Licensed Practical Nurse Location: 121 Queen Street City: Charlottetown Province: PE Job Description: Our client, a Long-Term Care Facility is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care under the direction of registered nurses, and other health team members. As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will work with Care Workers and Registered Nurses as well as other Administration staff to promote and restore patients’ health. This is a permanent full time position with weekly hours ranging from 28 to 40 hours per week, individuals must be willing to work 8 to 12 hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends. As a Licensed practical Nurse you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures Perform nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake and conducting specimen collection Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects Monitor established respiratory ther.... |
