Please be advised that effective February 20, 2012, there is an ongoing, full-time position for a Library Technician ? University Library. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, subject to change depending upon departmental requirements. JOB SUMMARY Provides reference, cataloguing, interlibrary loan, acquisitions and support services. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provides reference services to library patrons to facilitate the information gathering and retrieval process on a variety of subjects; is responsible for the Library one evening per week and/or weekends. 2. Searches catalogues and databases to verify bibliographic information and availability and to avoid duplication in acquisitions, interlibrary loan and cataloguing functions. 3. Performs cataloguing functions and maintains authority files. 4. Performs acquisitions functions: prepares and monitors orders; verifies receipts, invoices for library materials and supplies according to e.... |
