Under the direction of the Legislative Assistant, the Legislative Support will attend meetings and prepare the official record of the Boards and/or Committee to which they are assigned. Halifax Regional Council Boards or and Committees generally meet 8-10 times per year and Legislative Support positions will be assigned to support 1-4 Boards and/or Committees. Board and Committee meetings are predominantly held in the evening, although some may meet during regular business hours.
