| Job Title: Laboratory Techologist - Bacteriology (6 Month Term) Job ID: 9218 Location: Yellowknife Department STHA Clinical Laboratory Return to Previous Page Department Information Laboratory Technologist Bacteriology 6 Month Term Position Stanton Territorial Health Authority Yellowknife, NT Job Information Located within the Stanton Territorial Health Authority (STHA) and reporting directly to the Laboratory Supervisor, the incumbent works as one of 6 Laboratory Technologists who deliver Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology and Environmental Bacteriology services. The incumbent collects and analyzes a variety of biological and environmental samples within the Bacteriology Section of the STHA Laboratory in accordance with recognized international laboratory practices as well as the philosophy and objectives of the STHA to ensure that medical and non-medical professionals have the test results necessary to diagnose, treat and manage disease and address public health issues. The incumbent will be part required to share standby with Core Laboratory Staff (2-3 days per month) in order to provide weekend and evening coverage.
