| Job or Campus Folder Job or Campus Folder Kearl - Tailings Supervisor Job Description ? The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management of up to 10 direct reports in the Tailings division of the Kearl Oil Sands Mining department. ? Collaborate with the Safety, Health & Environment department on the development of wildlife avoidance practices as well as the on going field support to manage the programs. ? Provide input into PPE selection and Health surveillance programs. ? Develop team / organizational structures and participate in staff recruiting. ? Advise on the development and implementation of training manuals and operating procedures. ? Establish measurable objectives for team performance and compliance standards. ? Provide update reports to engineering and senior management on tailings deposition plans and key milestones. ? Report and investigate incidents / near misses and ensure timely completion of all action items. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive under the company ?s Alcohol & Drug policy and will require a pre-employment certification process.
