| Title Junior Estimator Category Engineering Division Buildings Location Toronto, ON Application Deadline 9/10/2010 Key Responsibilities Assist estimates of tendered projects and budgets. Assist in preparation of cost of work completion estimates for project. Assist in computes cost estimates of raw materials, purchased equipment or subcontracted work and labour required. Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc. Support other department personnel as required; may include preparing estimates in other disciplines. Perform additional estimating related assignments per supervisor’s direction. Communicating with sub-trades. Assist in reviewing documents for design-build and budget proposals to enable complete estimate preparation. Participate in tender closing. Perform quantity take-off from construction drawings. Maintain files and correspondence on active successful tenders. Responsible for accuracy of tender submissions. Knowledge & Skills C.... |
