| PTI Travco Modular Structures is currently seeking interested candidates for the position of Inventory Specialist located at 1507-8 St., Nisku, AB. This position reports to the Materials Supervisor. Being an integral part of the business, the incumbent is responsible for providing services to manufacturing operations in the areas of material movement and supporting the PTI Production System utilizing concepts of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Responsibilities will include: • Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity of data for manufacturing materials. • Review and update of inventory replenishment settings. • Consult with purchasing agents to ensure supplier performance is maintained. • Implement and sustain “best practice” processes and controls for managing inventory, storage locations and transactions. • Direct activities of production line material handlers (in relation to controlling inventory). • Conduct shortage tracking and replenishment of items. • Conduct cycle counting and variance reconciliation. • Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels while providing effective service. • Ensure physical storage locations are clearly identified and sized appropr.... |
