The Internal Auditor is responsible for planning, directing and supervising internal audits of the accounts of all City departments and Boards in a computer-oriented environment. Responsibilities include performing operational, compliance and information technology audits, and consulting and advisory services. Professional accounting or auditing designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CIA or CISA) is required. Several years of internal, external or IT auditing is required. A sound knowledge of financial and information systems audit controls and strong computer skills are also required. The Internal Auditor must be able to work independently and as a team player, be self-motivated and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
