| Overview : Cenovus Energy has an exciting opportunity for two (2) Intellectual Property (IP) Liaisons. Reporting to the Intellectual Property Advisor, you will facilitate the disclosure of and evaluate both incremental and step-change discoveries predominately in the area of InSitu hydrocarbon recovery, but also encompassing those related mechanical arts and process and operations engineering involved in the further handling and processing of the recovered hydrocarbons. You will effectively act as a bridge between inventors, patent agents, and other diverse stakeholders in stewarding to the offensive and defensive strategies that drive Cenovus in building IP assets. Responsibilities : “Own” and drive the patenting process Work with inventors, patent agents, in-house counsel and with all in-house panels and experts to expedite all phases of IP activity, to include: Patent development, including management of disclosure issues Patent portfolio development Infringement issue assessment and management Conduct patent searches and lead patent landscaping projects Liaise with a Technology Owners Network to: Prepare an annual patenting program and budget; Update a staff awarene.... |
