| Industrial Waste Inspector - (Job Number: 8496) 135541 Industrial Waste Inspector 8496 8496 Keeping Edmonton green and clean Use your keen eye for detail to assist investigating environmental concerns in our municipality. As an Industrial Waste Inspector you will perform the following functions: Enforce Sewer and Sewers Use Bylaw regulations at stormwater management lakes and in residential areas by conducting inspections and issuing compliance warnings, follow-up inspections and bylaw tickets Carry out herbicide applications on sewer service lines and perform routine maintenance on equipment; prepare written reports as required Apply herbicide at stormwater management lakes as required Assist in maintenance of stormwater management lakes as required Respond to and investigate complaints of sewer gases in private homes, apartment blocks and industrial establishments; record observations and notify supervisor Check sewer lines using smoke and dye tests to identify cross connections; check for gas leakage into service lines or sewer lines from gasoline service stations Inspect storm sewer lines entering the river and creeks noting condition regarding repairs, conduct tests of sewage.... |
