| ICEHR ETHICS OFFICER (One-Year Contractual Position) BACKGROUND The Interdisciplinary Committee on Ethics in Human Research (ICEHR) is a research ethics board at Memorial University. The ICEHR operates in accordance with Memorial University's Policy on Ethics of Research Involving Human Participants, and follows the guidelines provided in the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans(2 nd Edition - TCPS 2). The ICEHR receives and reviews proposals involving human subjects, and proposals are normally submitted by researchers from the St. John's campus (e.g. in all areas of research involving human participants, excluding clinical trials and genetics research). DUTIES The Ethics Officer will be a senior employee of the ICEHR Office, responsible for all operations and management. Reporting to the Associate Director, Office of Research Services, the successful applicant will handle matters pertaining to office management (including budget and personnel record management).
