Housing Support Worker, Community Development Team
Permanent, Part-Time, 0.7 EFT
Union: MGEU Community
Shift: Days with occasional evenings and weekends (8hrs/day)
Job Summary: The Housing Support Worker will assist in carrying out individual Housing & Support
Plans under the supervision of the Community Development Coordinator with
potential input from geographically based Community Mental Health Program Staff.
The Housing Support Worker is responsible for rehabilitative and supportive
functions including skill building/enhancement, creation and maintenance of formal
and informal support networks, provide applicable accurate information and
consultation with families as related to skill building/enhancement and development
of supports. Housing Support Workers will assist individuals with Mental Health
issues and other complex needs which impact ability to maintain stable housing and
may require intentional concentrated supports to live successfully in community.
