| Title: Home Support Worker Job Type: Casual Hours Location: Surrey (RHH) Apply By: March 1, 2012 Overview The companion is a non-professional employee who provides homemaking, cleanliness, orderliness, laundry and related services in the home for clients under the direct supervision of the appropriate supervision. Responsibilities The duties consist of a combination of activities that include, but are not limited to: Respects the clients rights, person and property; Treats all client related information as confidential; Providing routine housekeeping such as vacuuming, sweeping, dry / wet mopping, bed making, bed linen changing, which are required for a safe and comfortable environment; Washing, drying and folding laundry; Performs client care according to written assignment; Records observation and signs each entry on the appropriate form for each visit made; Communicates on a weekly basis, or more often, as necessary with his / her supervisor; Immediately reports emergency situations by phone to the designated supervisor; Keeps an accurate time and mileage report, where indicated; Maintains compliance with home care regulations and RHS standards for high quality provision of care.... |
