| History - Sabbatical replacement Mount Allison University Location: New Brunswick Date posted: 2012-01-20 The Department of History at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time twelve- month appointment (sabbatical replacement), subject to budgetary approval. Candidates should be prepared to teach five one-semester courses: a first-year course in the expansion of Europe; a third-year course that examines class, gender, and other aspects of British social history in the era of early industrial capitalism (c. 1750-c.1850); a third-year course that traces the development of institutions, movements, and ideas which have shaped the society, culture, economy, and politics of modern Britain; and two fourth-year seminar courses (one each term), each devoted to themes, events, or periods that reflect the candidate's interests and academic background. Each course involves 3 hours of class time per week and meets on the Sackville campus. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2012.
