| Highway Maintenance Equipment Operator Job Description Competition Number TW.EL.11.12.326 Available Positions 1 Temporary Position Employer Department of Transportation & Works - Western Transportation Region Locations Stephenville Closing Date 3 Feb 2012 Salary $19.72 - $21.72 per hour (MS 24) Duties This eligibility list will be used to fill temporary Highway Maintenance Equipment Operator ?s positions as they become available. Applicants are advised that positions will be of variable duration and terminate on or before March 31st, 2012, subject to possibility of extension. DUTIES: This is skilled work in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment used in highway maintenance work. The incumbent will be required to operate heavy equipment such as a tandem truck, front-end-loader, backhoe, etc.; prepare and maintain work records on the operation of assigned equipment; in winter - plow, sand and salt roads; perform preventative maintenance functions and non-complex servicing; and perform other related duties as required.
