| Heavy Duty Mechanic - Large Scale Mining Equipment Job ID#: 1359 City: Sparwood - Click here to learn more about the city State/Province: British Columbia Job Description: Mining activities are very busy in the Elk Valley region which has created several openings for experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians. Mechanics from across Canada are encouraged to apply, relocation assistance and a settling in bonus will be paid. Mechanics will be working in the field performing repairs and maintenance to open pit mining equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to loaders, haul trucks, shovels and dozers. This is an opportunity to work with some of the largest heavy equipment in the world with a very stable company that can offer long term employment. There is a lot of room to grown within the company and several lucrative bonuses available. Candidates selected for interview will be flown to the Sparwood area to visit the mine site and town.
Compensation: $35.00 - $37.00/hour. $5,000 signing bonus, $5,000 relocation assistance, $6,000 annual retention bonus and $5,000-$10,000 annual gain sharing bonus. Benefits are 100% paid and they also have an excellent pension plan.
