| Hardware Designer Location: CW Controls, Embedded Computing, Ottawa, ON Description Summary The Ottawa Engineering group is tasked with producing leading edge single board computers, graphics and switch products. Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions (CWCDS) is searching for a highly skilled Hardware Designer to make immediate contributions to the development of a state-of-the art products. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for the in idual to participate in the development of leading-edge technologies (DDRIII memories, multi-core GHz processors, PCI-Express, Rapid I/O, 10 Gb Ethernet switching) that will play a vital role in capturing critical business. Responsibilities Digital design using Intel and Power PC CPUs, state-of-the-art bridge parts, VME components, etc. Power supply design Support of board layout and routing (development of layout and routing rules/restrictions) Hardware debug of digital and analog circuits Documentation of design and validation efforts Skills and Experience Prior experience in high-speed digital design (GHz processors, 250 MHz buses, GHZ serial fabrics, etc.) using state-of-the-art microprocessors and peripherals such as Gigabit.... |
