| Grinder Set-Up Operator (#J1000849) Added On: 2012-01-20 Our client in Leduc is currently looking to fill an opening for a Grinder Set-Up Operator for their manufacturing plant. This company deals with heavy machinery and metal products manufacturing and can be a dusty environment at times. This position is permanent, with full-time, days which includes weekend and shift work. DUTIES: ? Work with drill presses, surface grinders, universal grinders, tool grinders and filing machines ? Use of single purpose production machines and form cutting machines ? Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations such as milling, boring, planning, honing and grinding ? Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (eg. Micrometers, calipers) ? Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery QUALIFICATIONS: ? 1-2 years experience ? Completion of high school, some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training ? Forklift Operator Certification ? Lift up to 30lbs ? Manual dexterity, attention to detail and hand-eye coordination ? Reading text, oral communication, working with others, problem solving and critical thinking ? Must own steel-toed .... |
