| Location: Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Ontario $12/hr approx. 16hrs a week Temporary Contract from Late February to April Potential for position to continue Environmental Defence is Canada's most effective environmental action organization. We challenge, and inspire change in government, business and people to ensure a greener, healthier and prosperous life for all. Our work led to the creation of a 1.8 million acre greenbelt in Ontario. The Greenbelt, now seven years old, protects farmland, rivers and streams and environmentally-sensitive areas from urban development. We are looking for a passionate, outgoing, and knowledgeable person to join us in the role of a Greenbelt Outreach Campaigner. The role of the Greenbelt Outreach Campaigner is to speak with the public at the Royal Ontario Museum two days a week from Late February to April about Ontario's Greenbelt. Skills: - Outgoing and confident to talk with the public about important environmental issues - Knowledgeable about Ontario's Greenbelt and able to communicate key information about it - Passionate about protecting Ontario's green spaces and farmland - Knowledge about local food issues - A good work ethic and friendly at.... |
