Closing Date: 2/26/2012 Location: Operations Centre Nature and Scope of Work This is supervisory work related to the maintenance and construction of roads, sidewalks, drainage, waterworks, sanitary and storm sewer systems, and to parks maintenance and development, landscape layout and/or other municipal services in accordance with municipal standards. After initial instructions the incumbent coordinates and supervises the work of several crews, exercising considerable independent judgment in carrying out and delegating assignments. Supervision is usually received from a Foreman III or Superintendent who issues assignments, provides policy guidelines, and periodically reviews completed work as required. Illustrative Examples of Work Plans, assigns, reviews, evaluates and participates in the work of maintenance workers, equipment operators, truck drivers, and/or labourers.
