POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor - Nutrition & Food Services, or designate,
is responsible for pre and final preparation of foods, service to residents, staff, patrons (Meals on Wheels, Jasper Place,
Grace Remus Daycare, etc.), special functions, and catering, and cleanliness of work areas, according to the shift
assigned.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves meals to residents, including therapeutic diets; observes, records, and reports concerns to Supervisor or
designate in accordance with Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards.
2. Responsible for sanitary food handling and correct storage of food materials.
3. Operates all food service equipment including the cash register.
4. Maintains cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
