| Fitter Welder Job Type: Permanent Job Location: Scarborough ON Job Description: POSITION: WELDER/FITTER Summary of Responsibilities: ? Responsible for welding (SMAW/TIG/SAW) processes, position, and qualified material. ? Operate all miscellaneous equipments (like grinders, etc) in the weld shop. ? Responsible for fitups such as tubesheet to shell, offset nozzles, supports, partition plates, etc. ? Know and follow the safety procedures specific to the Fabrication Department and the general safety rules in the shop. ? Participate in the Proactive Safety Program (i.e. pre-job checklists, observations, near miss reporting and weekly department safety meetings) Duties Performed: ? Weld/Arc air on required materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, etc. ? Understand and follow the NDE and QA requirements for each job. ? Do required fit up by reading and interpreting required drawing. ? Report all safety/environmental concerns immediately to the Supervisor ? Keep all the work areas clean and clear of debris ? Participate in 5S , Kaizen, Kanban and Safety Meetings ? Safe operation of Material Handling Equipments such as Overhead Cranes, Jib Cranes, Fork Trucks, etc. Qualifications.... |
