| Title Financial Assistance Consultant Division Registrar's Office Category Support Staff Type Full-time/Probationary Incumbent New Salary $22.69 - $26.30 per hour Band E Hours 35 hrs per week Campus Waterfront Effective Date April 1, 2012 Duties Reporting to the Registration and Financial Assistance Manager ? Waterfront, the Financial Assistance Consultant is responsible for administering the Ontario Student Assistance Programs (OSAP), College Bursary and Emergency Assistance Programs. Interviews students to determine financial need, disseminate information, gather data, complete necessary forms and data enter information that is relevant to the student ?s financial requests. Verifies, monitors and makes required changes to information in student ?s on-line government OSAP files to ensure program integrity and that student receives all funding to which they are entitled. Processes student written requests for changes to their file, adds student supplied documentation; uses Ministry computer system to communicate with students. Aids in the resolution of all problematic situations regarding student assistance by contacting outside agencies, the National Student Loan Service Centre, S.... |
