| Overview : Cenovus Energy has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated chemist or chemical engineer to work as part of our Process Engineering Group within the Chemical Management Team for our Foster Creek Commercial Facility. In this key role, you will be responsible for process optimization of the facility by developing best practices for chemical treatment programs to improve the performance, integrity and stability of water treatment, disposal and steam generation. Further requirements include assisting and directing daily activities of chemical suppliers, developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and assist operations and engineering with troubleshooting and continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for mentoring and training of operations and engineering staff. The successful candidate must have 10 or more years related experience in SAGD/CSS water treatment and steam generation. Specific experience with separation, corrosion and scale chemistry is an asset. Our Foster Creek facility is located approximately 90 minutes north of Bonnyville/ Cold Lake, Alberta area.
