| Directly accountable to the Manager, Nutrition & Food Services, the Food Service Attendant works in the main kitchen, patient/resident units, pantry, pot washing area, cafeteria, pre-prep areas, dishwashing and garbage related areas. Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures (e.g. utilizing personal, protective equipment as per safe work procedures). Notifies their Manager or their designates (i.e. supervisors) of all occurrences, injuries, illnesses or safety and health concerns which are likely to harm themselves, their co-workers or any others who enter the premises. QUALIFICATIONS Successful completion of the City of Winnipeg's Food Handler Certificate Training Program. This pre-requisite must be attained before the end of the 90-day probationary period. Acceptable training and/or experience in food handling and preparation. Possessed of sufficient manual dexterity to do the required work (lifting, climbing ladders, pushing food carts).
