| Engineer - Development Services The position is responsible for performing a range of professional work related to the review of subdivision and development applications related to water, wastewater and land drainage issues as well as the coordination and planning of the corporation’s renewal and capital projects for water distribution, wastewater collection and management, and land drainage collection and management to ensure protection of the health, safety and environment of the citizens of Brandon. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Uses the water distribution, wastewater collection and land drainage and flood protection system models to evaluate development proposal, formulate and budget for capital and renewal programs, and ensure the ongoing integrity of the City system; Takes into account the community’s changing needs and demands, recommends project budget revisions and additions/deletions of projects including the necessary withdrawal from/return of unallocated funds; Monitors and analyzes existing procedures, engineering standards, design criteria, identifies deficiencies and recommends improvements; Assists in preparing the annual and 10 year capital/renewa.... |
