| Editor-in-Chief Editor-in-Chief REF#: JG9417 Imprint Publications Location: University of Waterloo, Ontario Posted: January 4, 2012 Deadline: January 31, 2012 Salary: $28,000 - $35,000 Description The University of Waterloo's official student newspaper requires an Editor-in-Chief for a 13-month contract March 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013. The EIC sets a vision and direction for the newspaper in terms of design, format and content that is consistent with Imprint's polices, manages and evaluates a diverse volunteer staff, facilitates regular meetings, troubleshoots and facilitates conflict resolution, oversees 16 workstations, Unix/Linux network as well as Imprint's website and social media. The EIC ensures the print-to-press quality of all content. Qualifications Proven managerial, organization skills, editing, layout and design skills, familiarity with Adobe CS4, photo editing packages and Unix/Linux networks makes you an ideal candidate. Volunteer management and web design experience are definite assets.
