| ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGIST Full-Time LOCATION: 250 Strasburg Road, Kitchener Completes diagnostic and repair functions associated with the automated electronic farebox system. Provides technical support regarding new electronic equipment associated with electronic fareboxes and digital clock system. Provides maintenance and repair functions relating to the operation of farebox probe, as well as electronic farebox, cash vault receiver, and digital clock systems. Provides technical support to Transit Services staff regarding the operation and use of electronic farebox systems and interpretation of farebox data. Develops specifications for the acquisition of new equipment or systems, in conjunction with supervisor. Evaluates vendor proposals in conjunction with Purchasing & Materials Management, Information Technology Services, and Transit Services staff, as appropriate; provides recommendations for vendor proposal acceptance. Generates and analyses various systems reports, including cashbox audit, revenue summary, maintenance checks, security, and diagnostics.
