| Director of Senior School Starting July, 2012. This is a senior management position, reporting to the Head of School, with responsibility for the overall program and day-to-day operations of the Senior School. The Senior School comprises 560 students from Grades 9 to 12, and offers a rich program of academics, athletics, arts, community service and extracurricular activities. Leadership experience in an educational context, and knowledge of best practices associated with assessment, differentiation and current brain research will be assets in this position. Interested candidates should have a fully-developed academic philosophy, and should understand our school’s belief that academic success takes place best in an environment where the character and the self also grow. The Director of Senior School will: Provide leadership on a continuing basis to students and teachers; Oversee the operations and functioning of the Senior School; With the Director of Academics, contribute to and implement the educational plan for the Senior School; Contribute to the leadership of the school through regular participation in management team meetings with other directors and the Head of School; .... |
