| Title: Director of Care / Infection Control Coordinator Job Type: Temporary Full-time Location: Thunder Bay Interim Long Term Care Centre, Thunder Bay, ON Apply By: February 10, 2012 Responsibilities Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises the overall nursing program for residents within the facility. Co-ordinates and promotes the interdisciplinary approach within the facility through the Nursing, Dietary, Activation, Environmental Service and Administrative Departments. Review all resident applications for admission to determine appropriate level of care. Assists with processing of admission and discharge papers. Implements and monitors controls and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics. Supervises the drug administration program including the administration of medication by all registered staff. Directs and monitors the maintenance of health care records to ensure promote compliance with regulations and quality care for the resident. Participates in Care Conferences as appropriate, meets with residents' family to resolve problems/ concerns/complaints. Assists the Administrator by collaborating with the Medical Advisor to ensure that medical attention and records are in compliance.... |
