| Job Posting #57356 - Director Tax About Our Client Our client, a leader in the real estate industry, located in the GTA is looking for a Director of Corporate Tax to add to their growing tax team. Responsibilities: The Director of Tax will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to: • Oversee all aspects of corporate and commodity tax; for a large, complex group of companies, primarily in the real estate industry; • Manage and direct the day to day activities in the tax group; • Manage a staff of 3 tax professionals; • Provide tax advice and strategies to senior management; • Responsible for complex tax planning and implementing tax strategies; • Oversee and monitor incoming tax assessments and re-assessments; • Review all federal and provincial tax returns - preparated by internal tax staff; • Provide support and assistance with federal and provincial corporate and excise tax audits; • Co-ordinate and liaise with the external accountants and internal accounting groups on various matters; • Assist in the preparation of Canadian corporate tax returns including returns for Bare Trustee corp.... |
