Diagnostic Imaging Technologist III (Cardiac Sonographer)
Permanent, Full-time
Duties:
The successful applicant will be required to perform Cardiac Ultrasound procedures within the
Cardiac/Critical Care Program. Duties will include: Operates digital echo equipment in performance of 2
D/M Mode Color Doppler, as well as Pulsed and CW Doppler for inpatients and outpatients, either in the
department or portable. Selects relevant echocardiographic data, makes quantitative calculations, and
communicates impressions to the cardiologist. Assisting the cardiologist in performance of Trans
Esophageal echo, contrast echo and stress echo. Documents, records, copies and archives patient and
echocardiographic data.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must possess a Diploma in X-Ray technology from an accredited college or
university. Graduation from a recognized diagnostic ultrasound program (1 year in addition to X-Ray
diploma). Current clinical training/instruction in echocardiography (as a subspecialty of Diagnostic
Ultrasound) and/or completion of a program in Cardi.... |
