Diagnostic Imaging Technologist III
Temporary, full-time until January 15, 2013, with the possibility of extension
Duties:
The technologist is responsible for the operation of the magnetic resonance imaging scanner and all
receivers and ancillary equipment using independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative. The technologist
must have a sound understanding of magnetic resonance physics and techniques, anatomical positioning
and physiology so that independent selection and modification of technical parameters is used to produce
optimum imaging results. The technologist takes charge of patients and performs contrast media injection
as well as a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for clinical or research purposes requiring the
use of changing magnetic fields.
Qualifications:
Completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Radiography. Successful completion of an approved
program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Current registration and member in good standing with the
Canadian Association of Medical Radia.... |
