| Job Description: This is a 6 month contract opportunity This position will provide deployment of desktop & notebook PCs as part of our hardware lifecycle management program ? Desktop 2012 Upgrade. Also, this position will be a key resource for providing desktop support on the office relocation project. Responsibilities includes: ? Moderate unpacking / moving of equipment ? Assist in planning, scheduling and coordinating end users for upgrade ? Configure and install operating system and corporate applications ? Assist end users during their acceptance testing (QAs) ? Troubleshoot incidents (primarily in relation to PC upgrades) ? Deployment and setup of new PCs to workstations ? Prepare off-lease PCs for return (e.g. wiping HD data) ? Work in conjunction with the Service Desk in reviewing deployment issues (i.e. Incidents) ? Provide desk-side support ? Could include other work duties assigned by Team Leader Qualifications ? Post Secondary degree in Computing / Information Technology, or working toward degree / diploma in related fields ? Effective communication skills with end-users verbally and in writing ? Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner when in contact with.... |
