| Design Draftsperson - Civil Civil Design - Engineering Department Reporting to the Senior Engineer - Civil, you will be responsible for preparing preliminary and final civil and geotechnical engineering drawings for various projects using CADD and/or manual drafting methods. This involves: reviewing existing conditions, drawings and specifications, working from sketches and marked-up drawings, and obtaining additional data necessary for the completion of accurate drawings and specifications; visiting sites to determine and record existing conditions/deficiencies; and researching additional information by liaising with various manufacturing companies, contractors and government agencies to ensure final designs are practical and meet all applicable code requirements. You will liaise and coordinate with various sections of the Engineering Department to check and ensure the coherence and consistency of information on preliminary and final drawings for the civil components of projects, and assist with the preparation of technical specifications. You will also conduct studies as directed; prepare a variety of reports related to the work; and perform other related duties as assigned. Resp.... |
