| Title: Database Administrator (Oracle - SQL) Job Type: Full-time Location: Cambridge Office Apply By: February 12, 2012 Overview The Database Administrator will work closely with our application specialists, developers and infrastructure team to ensure our Oracle and SQL databases are performing as expected. They will be proactive by monitoring, recommending and implementing changes that improve the overall support and sustainability of our solutions. They will design, configure and support new and existing databases and be a key contributor to future database investments. Responsibilities Ability to act as a DBA in both Oracle and Windows SQL Server environments; Supporting multiple systems across Windows and Unix platforms; Develop standards for RDBMS technology, architecture and processes (platforms, security, performance, backup and recovery etc.); Implement database security features (e.g. roles, privileges, authentication, encryption); Support RDBMS design and configuration changes on existing and new installations for medium and large scale projects; Solve database issues encountered in software development and in production systems Work with an IT team to managed database l.... |
