| Title: Cook Job Type: Temporary Part-time, Days Location: Kilean Lodge, Grimsby, ON Apply By: March 1, 2012 Responsibilities Prepare and/or be responsible for the preparation/delivery of all foods for residents, guests and employees. Reviews menus and production sheets before preparing meals and prepares and serves them properly and attractively. Ensures use of proper food handling techniques. Completes daily temperature audits for fridge, freezers and storerooms and records all food temperatures on daily audit form. Prepares and serves foods for therapeutic diets according to planned menus. Makes menu substitutions as necessary. Meets time schedule for service of meals and nourishments. Follows daily production charts, standardized recipes and daily composite menus, while working within a set budget. Complies with all provincial/long term care regulations and established dietary department policies and procedures. Participates actively in planning/preparing special occasion and theme meal days. Attends department and facility staff meetings, in-services and other necessary training sessions. Follows and complies with health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedur.... |
