| Job Title: Job ID: 1470 Location: Waterloo Campus Full/Part Time: Department Full-Time Inst. for Quantum Computing Regular/Temporary: From Grade Regular U09 Return to Previous Page Department Description As a member of a professional team, the Computing Support Specialist role is responsible for providing information technology services, support, consulting and training to all resident members of IQC and to the operational staff of the Quantum NanoFab facility. Key services include, linux systems' administration, resolution of software and network connectivity problems desktop and server computing system's account management and the participation in the development and implementation of software systems that are unique to the end-user community within the Institute. Qualifications The candidate will have a solid history of working in a team environment with a proficiency of interacting with people and technology. The unique nature of IQC and the Quantum NanoFab facility presents requests to the IT Team which are non-routine in nature and require consistent closure as an outcome of the team's collaborative problem solving, reasoned judgement and coordinated actions.
