| Job Title: Community Health Nurse (8 week Job Share) Job ID: 9223 Location: Paulatuk Department BDHSSA Health Centres Return to Previous Page Job Information Community Health Nurse 8 Weeks Job Share Beaufort Delta Health and Social Services Authority Paulatuk, NT Located within the Paulatuk Health Centre and reporting directly to the Nurse-in-Charge the Community Health Nurse (CHN) works with the NIC and delivers community health services to a client population of approximately 290 residents (predominantly Inuvialuit). The Health Centre is the sole medical facility in the community and supports approximately 2,700 plus individual encounters per year. The Community Health Services include providing non-emergency care; responding to medical emergencies that require decision making outside of the usual policies, procedures and standards of nursing care; and delivering nursing programs designed to promote community health and wellness. The level of knowledge is typically acquired through the successful completion of a Nursing Degree and 2 years recent nursing experience in an acute care setting or within a northern health centre. All nurses who work in the North must be registered with.... |
