| Job Title: Community Health Nurse (1 Year Term) Job ID: 9164 Location: Fort Simpson Department DCHSSA Health Centres Return to Previous Page Department Information Community Health Nurse 1 Year Term Position Deh Cho Health & Social Services Authority Fort Simpson, NT Job Information Located within the Fort Simpson Health Centre and reporting directly to the Nurse Administrator, the incumbent is one of five Community Health Nurses (CHNs) who deliver community health services to client s populations of approximately 1,257 residents in Fort Simpson, 75 residents in Nahanni Butte, 167 residents in Wrigley, 68 residents in Trout Lake and 53 residents in Jean Marie River. The Health Centre is the sole medical and social services facility in Fort Simpson. Services within the satellite communities are provided through the local nursing stations. Within the Fort Simpson Health Centre the five CHNs will be required to provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis during the evening and weekends to provide emergency nursing care to Fort Simpson, the 4 satellite communities and the Long Term Care facility.
